Player Notes
Melvin Upton hit a two-run homer off Kenley Jansen in the bottom of the ninth to give the Padres a 7-6 win over the Dodgers on Friday.

Advice: Upton's revival in San Diego has been a great story, and he'll make for pretty intriguing trade bait this summer if the Padres are willing to cover part half of his $16.45 million salary for next year. He's been playing like a quality regular since right around the All-Star break last year, and he's at .266 with six homers and a .787 OPS so far this season.
