Player Notes
Grady Sizemore continued his hot-hitting in Friday's loss to the Yankees, going 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored.

Advice: He is experiencing a nice little resurgence to begin his career with the Rays, hitting .409 (9-for-22) with a homer, four RBI and a stolen base in six games. It's extremely unlikely that he continues to be this productive, but he's worth utilizing as a fourth or fifth outfielder in deeper mixed leagues until he cools off.

Fri, Jul 3 Rotoworld
Grady Sizemore went 2-for-4 with two RBI in Thursday's loss to the Indians.

Advice: Facing off against his former team, Sizemore punched in runs with a pair of RBI singles in the first and sixth innings. He was released from the Phillies last month after hitting .245/.288/.296 with zero homers and six RBI in 104 plate appearances. Sizemore's picked up six hits since June 28 (when the Rays acquired him), but there's little reason to expect much fantasy juice here.

Thu, Jul 2 Rotoworld
Grady Sizemore homered to break up Cody Anderson's bid for a perfect game, finishing 1-for-4 in Monday's loss to the Indians.

Advice: Sizemore drilled Anderson's offering over the fence in right field with one out in the seventh inning to end the perfecto. The veteran went 3-for-5 in his Rays debut -- and his return to the major leagues after a month-long layoff -- so things are looking up for him right now. We don't expect him to be of much fantasy utility over the long haul, though.

Mon, Jun 29 Rotoworld
Grady Sizemore, in his return to the majors, went 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI in Sunday's loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: Sizemore was released by the Phillies at the beginning of the month, then signed to a minor league deal by the Rays two weeks later. He had been with Single-A Charlotte since. The 32-year-old veteran showed he still has some life left in his bat, providing one of the Rays' three runs with an RBI single in the seventh. Sizemore hit .245/.288/.296 with no home runs and six RBI in 104 plate appearances for the Phillies earlier this year.

Sun, Jun 28 Rotoworld
Rays purchased the contract of OF Grady Sizemore from High-A Charlotte.

Advice: Sizmore inked a minor league deal with Tampa earlier this month after the Phillies cut him loose. He hit only .245/.288/.296 with no homers in 39 games for Philadelphia and will be used in a reserve role with the Rays.
