C Humberto Quintero won't have as much to prove in September. In part because J.R. Towles entered camp with the starting catcher's job his to lose, Humberto Quintero barely missed a shot on the Astros' opening day roster. Then, Quintero was eventually designated for assignment twice before persevering enough to ultimately become the Astros' starting catcher this year.
But while Towles comes up so the Astros can evaluate him again heading into their planning sessions for next season, Quintero may have already proven he belongs. |
