Gonzalez filed for free agency, the Braves' official web site reports. Recommendation: The Braves will be shopping for a closer this winter with both Gonzalez and Rafael Soriano set to become free agents. Gonzalez had a 2.42 ERA and 93:33 K:BB ratio in 74.3 innings last season, showing he's ready for a full closer role after sharing the job with Soriano. |
