Diaz went 2-for-3 with a walk in Saturday's loss to Washington. He's hitting .364 with two home runs since June 1. He's in Sunday's lineup against a left-handed starter. Recommendation: With Garrett Anderson also hitting well, the Braves have sent Jeff Francoeur to the bench - at least temporarily. Diaz has had more playing time the past week because the Braves have faced five consecutive left-handed pitchers, but his hot bat could keep him in the lineup even against righties this week. |
