LHP Nate Robertson turned in perhaps his best pitching performance of the season Tuesday night, two runs in seven innings. Robertson gave up 10 hits but displayed a trait he had not shown much this season by being tough in the clutch. He threw strikes (no walks) although he only struck out two. Robertson had allowed three or more runs in each of his previous starts this season.

Robertson, who was scheduled to start Sunday's rained out game against the Yankees, will instead start on Tuesday versus the Royals, the Tigers' official site reports.
Recommendation: Justin Verlander will pitch on Wednesday, with Kenny Rogers scheduled to go the following day.

Robertson allowed four runs and 10 hits in 6 1-3 innings, walking one and striking out four in Tuesday's 5-0 loss to Boston.
Advice: Roberston has gotten off to a rough start to the season, allowing at least four runs in all seven of his starts. He is 1-4 with a 6.64 ERA.
