RHP Justin Duchscherer is making terrific progress after seeking treatment for clinical depression during the season, his agent, Damon Lapa, told the San Francisco Chronicle. Lapa called Duchscherer "a happier and healthier person," and said that he is working with noted trainer Brett Fischer, who has counted Randy Johnson and Kerry Wood among his clients. Duchscherer, a free agent, would prefer to sign as a starting pitcher; he has been an All-Star as both a reliever and as a starter. |
