The Orioles may seek Eckstein in a trade, the Baltimre Sun reports.
Recommendation: Eckstein has seen a decrease in playing time since Cito Gaston returned as manager of the Blue Jays. The Orioles know they will need to get better at shortstop if they are serious about getting into the AL East or Wild Card race. If Eckstein is traded to the Orioles, he could fit in a number of spots in the lineup. He could bat second, but also as low as ninth.

Jeff Zrebiec and Roch Kubatko, of The Baltimore Sun, reports the Baltimore Orioles are talking to the Toronto Blue Jays about acquiring SS David Eckstein, according to industry sources.
