Player Notes
Josh Hamilton finished 3-for-6 with a double, a solo home run, and 3 RBI, but it wasn't enough as the Angels were bested in 12 innings by the Orioles on Tuesday.

Advice: Hamilton put the Angels on the board early with a first inning ground out, hit a solo homer in the fifth, and knocked in his third run with a single in the seventh. It was his first home run since July 2, but Hamilton has otherwise had a productive season when he has been healthy. He owns a .293/.365/.442 slash line with six home runs and 32 RBI.

Josh Hamilton is back in the Angels' lineup Sunday.

Advice: Hamilton has been dealing with nagging left knee soreness since before the All-Star break. He received a cortisone shot after exiting Friday's game and sat out Saturday, but the outfielder is feeling much better. Hamilton sports a .291/.366/.427 batting line with five homers and 29 RBI over 54 contests this season.

Josh Hamilton (knee) is expected to return to the lineup Sunday.

Advice: Hamilton sat out Saturday after being removed from Friday's contest with a sore left knee. It's an ailment he's dealt with since before the All-Star break, forcing him to DH a handful of times over the last couple weeks. However, he's feeling much better. "He feels good," Angels manager Mike Scioscia said Saturday. "In fact, he wanted to try to play today."

Josh Hamilton (knee) is out of the Angels' starting lineup on Saturday night against the Tigers.

Advice: Hamilton was removed from Friday's game after complaining of the knee discomfort and will get at least one full day of rest. J.B. Shuck was called up from Triple-A Salt Lake on Saturday to provide outfield depth.

Josh Hamilton was removed from Friday's game against the Tigers due to a sore left knee.

Advice: The severity of the injury remains unclear at the moment. Expect the Angels to provide an update on his status after the game, though it wouldn't be surprising to see him sit out on Saturday as a precautionary measure.
