1B Ross Gload has lost playing time at first base with the September promotions of Kila Ka'aihue and Ryan Shealy, but manager Trey Hillman plans to use him some in the outfield. Gload lacks the power -- only three home runs in 116 games -- to be an everyday first baseman on a championship-caliber club. He started in left field Friday (Sept. 5).
