RHP Nelson Figueroa's contract was purchased from Class AAA New Orleans, and there is a chance he could get a start in place of injured RHP John Maine.

The Mets called Figueroa up from Triple-A New Orleans on Wednesday.
Advice: Figueroa was 4-7 with a 4.43 ERA in 20 games, including 16 starts, at Triple-A. The 34-year-old right-hander likely will replace the injured John Maine in the starting rotation. Figueroa was 2-3 with a 5.12 ERA in nine games - six starts - with the Mets earlier this season.
