C Ramon Hernandez made his first start since Thursday when he caught 222 pitches in a nine-inning game that lasted four hours and aggravated the tendinitis in his left hand. Limited to one pinch-hitting appearance in the past three games, Hernandez went 0-for-3 and has one hit in his past 22 games.
