LHP Randy Wolf gave up seven runs on six hits and four walks in 4 2/3 innings. Over his last four starts, Wolf (0-4) has pitched into the fifth only one time while giving up 20 runs (16 earned) on 26 hits, including six homers, and 15 walks in 17 1/3 innings -- for an ERA of 8.31. "I'm embarrassed," said Wolf. "I was just awful, that's all I can say. Every pitch felt awful. I felt like I was the worst pitcher in baseball today." |

Wolf picked up his 8th loss of the season Wednesday night against the Rockies after giving up seven runs on six hits, two of which were homers. He struck out four and walked four. Recommendation: Wolf isn't doing anything here to bolster his ability to be traded to a contender. If he doesn't pick it up soon, he'll be stashed away in a Padres rotation that could lose 100 games. |
