LF Alfonso Soriano accounted for the only Cubs run with his fourth home run of the season in the fourth inning. He didn't have a homer until May 15, but he is one of the few Cubs hitting now. "I started hitting homers, but it's not enough to win," he said. "It's better to win games. I don't care about my homers because I know I have been doing that for 12 years."

Soriano has been playing with knee soreness all season, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Recommendation: Soriano believes that he has finally adjusted to playing with the soreness, as evidenced by his recent power production. "I have to learn to play with pain, because I'm not 25 anymore," he said. "For a couple weeks I've had treatment on my knee. I never think I'm going to be 100 percent, but I can play with pain. I like to play."
