LF Carlos Guillen continues to make progress toward a possible return to the field after the All-Star break. Guillen has been hitting off a tee since Monday and is now throwing up to 90 feet without difficulty. The Tigers expect him to rejoin the team in Detroit on July 6. "He's doing much better," head trainer Kevin Rand said. "We hope that when we get back to Detroit, he'll come in and start ramping up his baseball work to get himself prepared to go out on injury rehab sometime soon." |
