Jul 5 RHP Carl Pavano, who had been 0-3 with an 8.85 ERA in his previous four starts, threw 6 2/3 innings of two-run ball to beat the A's on Saturday. Pavano scattered eight hits, and he walked two while striking out three. Yahoo! Sports

Jul 4 Pavano scattered eight hits over 6.2 innings while holding Oakland to two runs for his seventh win of the season on Saturday.

Recommendation: Put simply, Pavano has been too hittable at times, but he's flashed signs of turning his career around in his first year with Cleveland. Pavano has a 71:20 K:BB ratio in 99 innings this season, so there's certainly reason to optimistic about the chances of improvement during the second half of the season.
