Player Notes
David Ortiz had a two-run homer and an RBI single in the Red Sox's 5-2 win over the White Sox on Wednesday.

Advice: Ortiz's 1.037 OPS ranks third in the American League, trailing only Manny Machado at 1.083 and Jose Altuve at 1.038. The rest of the AL is going to be awfully happy to see him retire if he keeps this up.

Wed, May 4 Rotoworld
David Ortiz homered for his second time in as many games, ultimately going 2-for-3 with a walk in Saturday's win over the Yankees.

Advice: He may be 40 years old and poised to retire, but Ortiz continues to rake with a .321/.418/.654 slash line in 91 plate appearances. A ludicrous 16 of his 25 hits have now gone for extra-bases, including his solo home run off Johnny Barbato in the seventh inning. It marked his fifth homer of the season. He only had six through the end of May a year ago. It's been quite the retirement tour thus far.

Sat, Apr 30 Rotoworld
David Ortiz went 2-for-4 with a go-ahead two-run homer in a 4-2 win over the Yankees on Friday night.

Advice: Ortiz took a first-pitch curveball from Dellin Betances and launched it over the Green Monster to give Boston the lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. The veteran slugger was 0-for-7 with four strikeouts against Betances before the go-ahead blast. Ortiz is now up to 507 home runs for his career and is batting .297/.395/.568 with three home runs and 16 RBI through 21 games in his farewell season.

Fri, Apr 29 Rotoworld
Back in the lineup after sitting out two games in NL parks, David Ortiz doubled three times and drove in two runs Wednesday.

Advice: Lots of older sluggers lose doubles more so than homers as they age, but that certainly hasn't happened to Ortiz; he finished with 37 doubles last year and is up to 11 already in 2016. Of course, Fenway and the Green Monster help some there. Tonight's game was the third of his career with three doubles, the others coming in 2011 and 2015.
