The New York Daily News' Kristie Ackert reports Cleveland Indians OF David Dellucci called New York Yankees RP Joba Chamberlain's celebration after a strikeout "bush league." Dellucci hit a big home run off Chamberlain in their last meeting Tuesday, May 6, and Chamberlain celebrated after striking Dellucci out Thursday. "That's what gets him going and that's what everybody likes to see, but if a hitter was to do something like that they'd probably say it was 'bush (league)' and you shouldn't do it," Dellucci said. "If he wants to yell and scream after a strikeout and dance around, I guess that gets him going. My home run was in a much bigger situation, more a key part of the game and I didn't dance around and scream." |

Dellucci hit a game-winning three-run homer in Tuesday's win over the Yankees. He pinch-hit for Franklin Gutierrez when took Joba Chamberlain deep. Recommendation: Dellucci could compete for more at-bats after Jason Michaels was cut. Gutierrez has had his moments this year, so the two could be duking it out for extra playing time. |
