LF Raul Ibanez connected for his second homer of the postseason in the seventh inning of Game 5 of the World Series. It was one of three homers in the game (Chase Utley went deep twice), giving the Phillies 24 homers in the postseason and tying the 2002 Angels for the fourth-most in postseason history. Only the 2002 Giants (27), 2008 Rays (26) and 2004 Astros (25) have hit more. The Phillies have hit 10 homers in the World Series, second-most ever by an NL team behind only the 2002 Giants (14). |
