Player Notes
Alex Rodriguez finished 2-for-4 in his first rehab game Tuesday with Double-A Trenton.

Advice: It could also be his final rehab game, with rumors swirling that the Yankees might activate him Wednesday. A-Rod hit an RBI single up the middle in the third inning and singled to load the bases in the seventh. Trenton pulled him in the ninth with the game tied 2-2. Rodriguez has been on the disabled list since May 4 because of a strained right hamstring.

Alex Rodriguez (hamstring) will play a minor league rehab game with Double-A Trenton on Tuesday.

Advice: Rodriguez wasn't originally expected to require a minor league rehab assignment as he makes his way back from a hamstring strain, but there has been a change of plans. Assuming he feels good, the Yankees could bring him back on Wednesday.

Alex Rodriguez (hamstring) ran the bases on Thursday.

Advice: Rodriguez ran home to first four times and first to third three times. It doesn't look like Rodriguez will need a rehab assignment, which means the Yankees could activate him at any time. A-Rod was hitting .194 before the injury.

Alex Rodriguez (hamstring) will try to run the bases on Wednesday.

Advice: If it goes well, he should be activated from the disabled list on Thursday and could even start in the Yanks' series opener against the A's. A-Rod has been on the shelf since May 4 because of a strained right hamstring. He jogged over the weekend and has been taking batting practice.

Alex Rodriguez (hamstring) is expected to be activated from the disabled list on Thursday.

Advice: A-Rod hit the disabled list with a strained right hamstring earlier this month, but he did some jogging over the weekend and will hit on the field Monday. If all goes according to plan, he'll return as the designated hitter for Thursday's game against the Athletics.

Alex Rodriguez (hamstring) did some light jogging on Saturday.

Advice: It was the first time he's done any running since he landed on the disabled list with a strained right hamstring. "So far, so good," A-Rod said after jogging on the warning track at Yankee Stadium. The designated hitter is hoping to be ready for activation on Thursday, the first day he's eligible.
