Jun 29 RHP Trevor Hoffman, who began the season with 18 consecutive scoreless appearances, has scuffled in his last five outings. Over that span, he allowed nine hits and four runs in 4 2/3 innings. Yahoo! Sports

Jun 29 Hoffman got the final two outs on Monday to earn his 18th save of the season.

Recommendation: Milwaukee led 10-3 heading into the ninth inning, but the Mets scored three times and had a couple of guys on base to make it a save situation for Hoffman, who needed just one pitch to induce a game-ending double play. Hoffman hasn't been as sharp over the last few weeks, but still sports a 1.93 ERA and has blown only one save.

Jun 28 Hoffman gave up two runs and four hits in the ninth inning Saturday but got the decision in the Brewers' 7-6 win over the Giants after Milwaukee answered with three runs in the bottom of the ninth.

Advice: Hoffman converted his first 15 save opportunities and held opponents scoreless over 18 innings in his first 18 relief appearances with the Brewers. In his last five outings, however, he's given up five runs and nine hits over 4 2-3 innings. He has one loss and one blown save in that stretch.
