Yahoo! Contributor NetworkSt. Louis Cardinals at Miami Marlins Highlight MLB Spring Training Schedule for March 23, 2012
The highlight of the day will be when the defending World Series Champion St. Louis Cardinals take on the Miami Marlins at 1:05 p.m. EDT in Jupiter, Fla. Even in losing 1B Albert Pujols to free agency in the offseason, the Cardinals still have what it takes to be highly competitive this season. The Miami Marlins have a bolstered roster, a new stadium, and a brand new identity to keep baseball fans excited this season.

As spring training winds down, starting pitchers are going a few innings longer while still working on areas they need to have ready before opening day. Position players are battling for a spot on the roster while others may be trying to adjust to playing a new position due to offseason acquisitions.
Another exciting matchup pits AL East rivals, the Toronto Blue Jays against the Tampa Bay Rays. Both clubs are expected to challenge the mighty New York Yankees in the division.
