Yahoo! Contributor NetworkMadonna to Have Second Yankee Stadium Concert
Looks like New York City can't get enough of the "Material Girl."
The New York Yankees announced Monday that provocative recording artist and Super Bowl XLVI hit Madonna will perform a second concert at Yankee Stadium Saturday, Sept. 8, 48 hours after her first scheduled performance inside the 27-time World Series champions' home ballpark.
Madonna joins an exclusive group of musical luminaries to have played the current version of the famed sports venue, which opened in 2009. Past acts include hip hop artists Jay-Z and Eminem in 2010, and Beatles frontman Paul McCartney and thrash metal's "Big Four" bands—Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax and Slayer—last year.
Tickets to the concert go on sale at 10 a.m. ET Tuesday, Feb. 21.
