Utley misses Phillies’ home opener because of flu

PHILADELPHIA (AP) Chase Utley has the flu and isn’t at the ballpark for the Phillies’ home opener against Milwaukee on Tuesday.

The five-time All-Star second baseman was replaced in the lineup by rookie Cesar Hernandez Carlos Ruiz was in Utley’s No. 3 spot in the lineup.

Utley is batting .458 (11 for 24) with three doubles, two homers and six RBIs.
