Yankees’ Jorge Posada out because of sore neck

  • Print

NEW YORK (AP)—Jorge Posada(notes) has been scratched from the New York Yankees’ starting lineup against Boston because of a sore neck.

Jose Molina(notes) took his place behind the plate Saturday.

New York also said A.J. Burnett(notes) will be pushed back one day in the starting rotation to Tuesday. That allows him to be with his father, who is scheduled for triple-bypass surgery Monday.

Chad Gaudin(notes) will start Monday’s series opener against Kansas City and be followed by Burnett and Joba Chamberlain(notes).

Jorge Posada rocks and so do the yankee's this year - they are getting better each week and if they keep it up the month of OCTOBER will be nothing but a breeze !

The hater's in here are very funny and nothing but a joke, and they have to use such "rap-star-language" and spell like the 4th grader's that they are! AMAZING and FUNNY at the same time....

i think the yanks, red sox, dodgers and angels ALL are quite capable of winning the WS. however i do believe trhis is NY's year. and next year is not out of the question especially if they can add some depth to the pitching staff. (a healthy chen mein wang would be a start). Go yanks!!

Pussada and Girardi should fight each other. Both of these girls are a couple of classless pieces of trash along with the rest of the Yankers.

BOSTON has it's own huge payroll, but if you think your going to beat The Yankees with BYRD AND WAKEFIELD, I have a Couch you can lay down on and discuss your mental Issues. CC Has never pitched with the Yankees in October so how can Boston Own him, wake up Boston fans and enjoy the Patriots, sox will be done soon when they play Anaheim Angels which Yankees just beat 2 of 3x in Anaheim. Oh and the Green Monster is a joke, pop flys off that go for doubles come on now, Keep it real.......

Boston OWNS Sabathia in October-- look it up.

While you're at it look up A-Rod's postseason numbers.

These two facts will enlighten you as to why Boston IS NOT AFRAID OF YOUR PAYROLL.

Come on BoSox win the wild card so that you can sweep the Angels yet again this post season and then wait to get swept yourself by the Yankees. Any way to the World Series works for me and then playing the NL winner will be like playing a 5th string Dominican Team. Yankees win the World Series!!!!

That sucks! Even though I like Posada, Sabathia and Jeter cant stand this "efffnnnn" team and any injury to a Yankee, especially there "douchebag" 1st baseman, or to a Red Sox is almost as good or better than a Packer loss. Wish the Angels not the Dodgers would've signed Padilla cuz he would've taken care what person to bean. More worried about the Sox then some has been organization living way off the past. Go get em Angels!!!!!

To change the subject Yankees fans. Someone tell me what is up with centerfielder Damon. He looks bloated like the Goodyear Blimp. His home run total is another clue. DId A-Rod and Tex share their PED suppliers or what. He gained power but has lost his speed in the outfield and on the bases. He needs to go back to the Damon body that played with Boston.
