Va. Cox customers lose signal during World Series

WASHINGTON (AP)—Cox Cable customers in northern Virginia lost their signal for hours during the New York Yankees’ World Series victory game.

Company officials say customers from Fairfax County to Fredericksburg lost their television signal Wednesday night due to a disruption in the digital cable service. Cox spokeswoman Gwen Sparks tells The Washington Post that crews were working to identify the problem and restore service.

Sparks could not estimate how many customers were affected.

New York beat the Philadelphia Phillies 7-3 in Game 6 on Wednesday.

UMMM did they just lose Fox or ALL their TV channels? If it was just fox then something funky is going on. If all then well I'm sure there were a lot more then just baseball fans upset. So why would this be a sports story????

That totally sucked. Luckily my neighbor let me watch the game while she was studying for her medical exams. I called Cox to blast them this morning and there was recorded message apologizing and extending credits to those affected by the outage.
