Tigers minor league 3B Ron Bourquin suspended

I do not find it odd that there are so many more minor league players than major leaguers getting suspensions. First of all, the minor leaguers have less education about the drug situation than do the major leaguers. Many of the minor leaguers getting suspended are from the third world nations of Latin America. Several of those nations do not have laws in place making these banned substances illegal. Secondly, the major leaguers have made it to the show and have much more to risk compared to the minor leaguers.

Does anyone find it odd that there are so many more minor leaguers being suspended than major leaguers? I know there are about 5 times as many minor league players as major league players, but there are nineteen times as many suspensions of minor league players. Seriously?

The government has programed these negative posters to believe what ever they see or hear. Lynch mob mentalities. CHECK TWO SOURCES. Thanks for bringing the real story Rock and shame on the writer for not doing his job.

You guys need to know the facts before you comment. This suspension was for prescribed medication that was on the banned list. This player had an exemption for ADD medication and the meds had been changed without MLB being notified. Truly a costly mistake because lack of notification. It was not performance enhancing drugs.

If the guy is using drugs, they need to put him in jail.

Full agree RedWingFan. It's an atrocity that professional athletes and entertainers are allowed to live in the limelight and commit crimes, do drugs, and be total @#$%s to the real people in the world that pay their salaries. They should be at our beck and call, making as much money as they do.

All these friggin' druggies should be released.

Being a professional athlete / entertainer is a privilege, not a right!
