Lawyer: Woman in sex-for-tix case has Phils fever

  • Print

PHILADELPHIA (AP)—A lawyer for a Philadelphia woman charged with offering sex for World Series tickets says she is “a nice lady overcome with Phillies fever.”

Lawyer William J. Brennan says Susan Finkelstein might have dropped double entendres in her Craigslist ad but never explicitly offered sex.

Brennan says the 43-year-old University of Pennsylvania graduate student wanted to take her husband to a game between her beloved Philadelphia Phillies and the New York Yankees.

Brennan says the self-described “buxom blonde” was trying to score tickets online, as she had in the past.

Finkelstein was arrested Tuesday after meeting at a suburban bar with an undercover police officer responding to the ad.

Brennan says he hopes to get the charges dismissed.

She probably went back to school -- that's why she's 43. On the other hand, if she's been in graduate school for 20 years, that's another matter....

Easy dog... It takes a long time to finish grad school particularly the way she was paying for her books, and grades, and fees and tuition etc....You've got the idea.....

I agree with #2. Give her a break. That's not even news! go after real criminals instead of entrapping someone on craigslist for doing something that happens all the time! GO PHILLIES!!!

So we are paying police officers salaries and benefits to sit and look at the internet to find this kind of thing. I can see if it was for sex with a minor but who cares about what a 43 year old women does to get baseball tickets. To say she was willing to trade sex for tickets - who cares. Most people would do the same thing but just would not say it out loud. It happens all the time.

How about the police trying to catch terrorists and murderers. Let's fight real crime
