Tulowitzki leaves game with strained back

  • Print

DENVER (AP)—Colorado Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki(notes) left Monday’s game after an RBI single in the seventh inning against Cincinnati because of a strained lower back.

After Tulowitzki singled with two outs to tie it at 3, he pulled up just before reaching first base, holding his lower back. Manager Jim Tracy and trainer Keith Dugger came out to check on him.

Tulowitzki lightly jogged down the first-base line, before being replaced by Omar Quintanilla(notes).
