Greene activated from DL; Boggs optioned by Cards
ST. LOUIS (AP)—The St. Louis Cardinals activated shortstop Khalil Greene(notes) from the 15-day disabled list, and optioned right-hander Mitchell Boggs(notes) to Triple-A Memphis.
Greene has had two stints on the disabled list because of social anxiety disorder and has been limited to 47 games in his first season with St. Louis. He’s hitting .200 with five home runs and has committed eight errors. He is hitless in his last 16 at-bats.
He was not in the starting lineup against the Houston Astros Saturday but manager Tony La Russa considered it.
Greene batted .325 with four home runs and eight RBIs while on a rehab assignment with Memphis.
Mitchell was recalled Friday to start against Houston. He gave up two runs in five innings but walked five and threw 99 pitches.

The St. Louis team as of right now is enough to win the central and go deep into the playoffs.
Barring an injury to a key component the Cards have put together a great team at bat and in the field.
The F_L_U_B_S will not get it done and the rest of the division is so bad.
The Cards will do it this year.
