Seattle Mariners employee Chuck Viltz stands as he is checked with a hand-held metal detector after walking through a magnetometer, at right, during a demonstration of new entrance security measures at the team's ballpark, Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014, in Seattle. During the demonstration, Viltz was "wanded" despite getting a clear signal from the walk-through detector, which failed to alert to his cell phone. Major League Baseball told its 30 teams they must implement security screening for fans by 2015, either with hand-held metal detection or walk-through magnetometers, though the Mariners are beginning the measures for the upcoming season. The new checks will be in addition to the current policy of searching bags. (AP Photo/Elaine Thompson)
