Ode to Funky Okajima

Rockies fans can complain all they want about the Boston Red Sox getting too much attention. Doesn't bother me, really. I understand the criticism, especially when there are Sox fans (in pink shirts! argh!) professing ignorance to pretty basic stuff in videos like this.

Truth of the matter is, though, a fair argument can be made that one of Boston's pitchers flew right under the radar for most of the season, even after sneaking onto the All-Star team.

Today, though, I aim to remedy that situation. Because while you may have heard of the "Okajima Oki-Doki," you've probably never heard this new tribute to Darkman.

Ladies and gentlemen, it's the ""Funky Okajima!"

OMG can you nit pick a bit more? So I dont know the names of the rockies B F D I dont know all the yankees or any of the other *&^% teams I dont follow.
Now that makes Redsox fans bad? Get a life already.
When baseball is over Im watching the Cowboys and whoever the "other" guys are playing against them. Because reality is I dont give a rats patootie who they are as long as they lose!
I know who "MY team is and really thats all that counts.
Can you get over the fact that the Redsox beat the snot out of your team buck up and stop whining and looking for excuses to call them a bad team and Us bad fans?
Why dont you just sit back take a little pink chill pill and enjoy a really good game played by the best team! And dont drink that wine from your sour grapes!

Absolutely hilarious. I knew I couldn't have been the only one to pick that up when McCarver said that.

So now, in order to follow the Red Sox, I'm required to memorize everything about every potential opponent? Hey Dan, how much did Rockies fans know about the Red Sox one month ago?

The World Series is now the ALCS. The American League is such a superior league to the National League. Teams in the National League are not set up to win and compete like the power houses in the American League. If you look at Cleveland, Detroit, Oakland, LAA, Boston, New York etc. These teams know they have to be competitive 1-9 with a great pitching staff in order to just make the playoffs. Not so in the National League. All the playoff teams in the National had huge holes on their teams. Not one National League playoff team would be a contender in the American League and if Kansas City played in the National League they'd have a shot at the World Series every year. It's just that simple.

Be careful about that "pink shirt" comment. The female sector will be all over you. You do know what the color pink represents in this country, don't you. Boston is a much better team, plus they have playoff experience.
