Yup, it's Opening Day in Milwaukee

In case you couldn't make it to today's Brewers home opener, here's what you missed. (And no, the people in this photo have nothing to do with what you're about to read. At least not to my knowledge.)

From the Brewers Blog at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

Nearby, at a pickup truck, a 24-year-old man from Green Bay who had been drinking with his friends since 7:45 a.m., urinated in a cup inside his pickup.

"It's the best way to do it," he said, gesturing at the long line for the portable toilets at about noon. "You think I'm going to go wait in that?"

Some of the women in the Green Bay man's party squatted and urinated on the pavement in the parking lot.

OK, two thoughts here:

1) I'm grateful the above reporter did not have a camera, especially after reading that last line.

2) How exactly do you approach a man for an interview while he's midstream in the front of a freakin' pickup truck? Here's even money that reporter is getting his law school apps together when he gets home tonight.

At any rate, follow the jump for a picture of one of the better gorilla costumes I've seen at a sporting event.

oh holy moly. I'd LOVE to be at opening day in Milwaukee. I'd love to be at any game in Milwaukee, getting all messed up with a few tallboys. And I'd probably urinate in a cup.

There is nothing that can prepare you for Opening Day in Milwaukee. Fistfights, people passed out before the national anthem, vomiting everywhere. There was nowhere else I would have rather been today.

God in Heaven, does McLaren really believe that Hernandez, at the ancient age of 22, could not throw another 5 or so pitches? This is absolutely rediculous and is just another example of of why three great managers of thrown in the towel and moved on. Top management is not about to spend enough money to acquire some decent pitching. Picking up has been like Washburn certainly is not the answer. Whenyou will not spend what it takes to field a competitive team you are just stealing from the fans.
