Just in case you were starting to feel bad for your Yankee schadenfreude:
Interesting that the high-class city boy can't afford to sit anywhere but the rafters, no?
(However, I will admit to laughing at "play that fiddle, hick!")

1. So he stereotypes people based on what kind of music is played at their stadium? I guess he's a flamboyant, "Macho Macho" Man that 'plays that synthesizer, queen' since the Yanks can't seem to get over the YMCA.
2. Baltimore is not a redneck town. It doesn't make any sense. Maryland was not in the Confederacy, and is more of a white-collar, progressive liberal state than New York. But then again, why should I expect any logic or reasoning from a Yankee fan that likes to dress up as a policeman, Indian or construction worker?

FYI, I love the southern class and charm of many of these responses...makes me think Rhett Butler is a real-live person writing under multiple yahoo screen names.

That guy got in his car and drove out of Bmore. Because if he'd have walked more than fifteen block east or five blocks west, there'd have been some people who would have happily introduced him to John Denver.
The farther north you go, the more you take your life in your hand wearing some other team's colors. He wouldn't have left Philly alive.

Who cares why they play it? They have been playing it for years. It makes as much sense as Sweet Caroline in Boston. Why do the Yankees salute freedom by forcing people to stay in their seats for God Bless America?
