Big League Stew - MLB

So is MLB.com making a Larry Lucchino-type 'Evil Empire' statement with the placement of Darth Vader on the Yankees' portion of the upcoming White Sox schedule? Are they equating Hank Steinbrenner to the Emperor? A-Rod to Darth Maul?

Nope, the site is just back to its old cross-promotion ways, first seen with that all-time awful Indiana Jones movie and now with the release of a Star Wars video game, The Force Unleashed. Seeing as how it always seems to rile us blogger-types and grow legs in the 'sphere, I think it continues to be a good strategy. Someone at LucasFilm is in line for a raise.

That game looks pretty lame. LucasArts will never match its old glory days that included X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter and Rebellion. Actually, both came around the time the Evil Empire was in its prime, while it's in decline now. Hmm...

I hate to admit this, but I've wasted a few hours in my day playing Lego Star Wars on PS2, so I'm not sure I can agree with your assessment, Saro.

The only sox ace who would stand a chance in a match-up w/ vader would be Black Jack McDowell
