Big League Stew - MLB

I never knew he was such a fan of the cartoon ink, but Rich over at Home Run Derby has an excellent follow-up to last week's comic cover for Sports Illustrated. If you've ever wanted to see Superman, Batman or even Wonder Woman swinging a Louisville Slugger, there are apparently a number of issues out there that will fulfill that need. Rich has the scanned evidence.

But HR Derby's best gem is the following video, which somehow blends Spider-Man, Shea Stadium and a still-looking-for-a-paycheck-let-alone-his-big-break Morgan Freeman into perhaps one of the most horrifying three minutes in the history of children's television.

I'm sure there are a number of comic book villains with worst stories and backgrounds than "The Wall," but I really can't think of any. Anyone want to suggest a super foe more cringe-worthy?

I can only think of one Barry Bo.
    His back story
He wants to follow in his Fathers and Godfathers steps and become a baseball player. He is very cocky and none of his Sun Devil teammates like him. He does not care because he knows he is good and will be a Pirate one day. The skinny Barry Bo meets Bobby Bo in the pros and they are happy, very cocky, but very happy. Barry Bo wants money. He goes to play with the Giants. He sees McGuire and Sosa making even more money so he becomes a mutant so he can hit the ball further and swing the bat faster. His head grows so big that he has to buy bigger hats. He can not turn back to regular life because the mutation is permanent and all of his stats are tainted. He loses the respect of everyone. He can not find a job. He will most likely go to jail for lying.
His super power is that he will depress Spiderman so much that he will not go to the baseball game.
