If 2010 was the year of the unwritten rule in the baseball blogosphere, then 2011 is shaping up to be the season of the souvenir in the stands.
From the tragic death of Shannon Stone in Texas to the balloonhead at the Home Run Derby to the beneficent youngster in Arizona, the topic of taking home a piece of the game — and what it really all means —has been a hot one.
With that in mind, check out what happened a few days ago at a game between the Kansas City Royals and Chicago White Sox. In a video just posted by MLB.com, Royals outfielder Jeff Francoeur(notes) loses his bat to an area behind the dugout and a short — and we are talking short — tug-of-war match between two women breaks out.
I honestly don't even know what to say about this one.
Maybe hit the gym if you're looking for a keepsake in Kansas City?
