Tampa Bay Rays pitchers James Shields(notes) and Chad Qualls(notes) weren't the only Floridians having trouble with their deliveries on Thursday. Check out Gov. Charlie Crist's errant first pitch before the Rays' 6-0 loss to the Texas Rangers in Game 2 of the ALDS.
Hoo, boy. Crist is currently in a heated senate race, and recent polls show him trailing by 12 points. As the Broward Palm Beach New Times notes, Crist's wild one was a "giant metaphor of his campaign." It also notes that he's a former college quarterback.

Although it should also be noted that Crist was a quarterback for Wake Forest, which is probably all you need to know about this video.
