Big League Stew - MLB

Five quick links to start your day ...

1. Something tells me my baldest buddy Mike Nadel might receive a l'il feedback about this critical column he just wrote about Erin Andrews, which includes this passage: “Hey, hey, hey! Look at this!” Piniella said, loudly and excitedly. “Are you doing a baseball game today or a modeling assignment?

At least Mike is learning something we bloggers already know: Writing about Erin = plenty of attention. [Peoria Journal Star]

2. A-Rod is reportedly telling Cynthia she didn't sign that prenup just to practice her autograph. [NY Daily News]

3. Sadly, Teddy Roosevelt was more successful with the ladies during one night in Adam's Morgan than I ever was over the course of 6-7 trips there. (Insert your Rough Riders joke here.) [Nats 320]

4. Ichiro's 3,000th career hit received just a bit more fanfare in Japan than he did in the U.S. [NYT Bats Blog]

5. If traded, Greg Maddux really isn't going to like that commute from San Diego to Los Angeles. [Walkoff Walk]

I would do terrible, horrible things to Erin Andrews.
I do think that she is hurting herself (and women sports journalists in general) by dressing like she's still a part of the Florida Dazzlers.
Not that I am complaining, though.

hahahahaha, Erin Andrews.......you reaffirm everything that is needed to know about women and sports.....its like salt and vinegar, black and white, go and stop, etc. They Don't Get Along. You hear that women? Give up!!!! You can root for male sports ALL you want and I applaud your fandom, but beyond that, dont try. Go after being president or something!

ESPN should put her in a bathing suit to boost ratings. That would be enough make me watch the Mariners & Baltimore play.

I have been saying for a while now, SHE(ERIN ANDREWS) IS THE HOTTEST SPORTS BABE GOING RIGHT NOW. said it when i first saw her, and my opinion certaintly hasn't changed. she is followed closely by the hot latin chick that does the espn deportes breaks during sportscenter. don't remember her name. but, she is a close 2nd. keep up the good work, erin. on and off the field!!!!!!!!

This trend of attractive women inserted in sports broadcasting seems a little like that Seinfeld episode where George tried to eat and watch TV while having sex, combining all his pleasures into one experience.
Maybe these ladies should also be drinking beer? Sports+hot women+beer anyone?

Haha Tim doesnt get to see hott women in person, so he needs ESPN to show them for him......shes an idiot Tim, she just exploited two demographics that cannot be avoided in television. Those are the minority of women in sports and couch potatoe men that have ugly wives so they fantasize about E.A......

This post cracks me up. She is a beauty though and I don't think she's hurting ratings one bit. Men and bi/lesbian women get more interested in ESPN - what's the problem here?
