We've listed Ken Griffey Jr.'s(notes) best commercials here on the Stew before and there's no doubt that his latest and perhaps last Nike commercial belongs among the best of the best. Featuring the sweetest swings of our generation, the ad is set to an assortment of the "goodbye, baseball!" calls from Seattle broadcaster Rick Rizzs and ends with a tagline that brought a few goosebumps when it flashed on the screen. I'm not sure why they didn't include a homer from Griffey in a Chicago White Sox uniform — hey, they could have shown all three of them! — but that's just a minor complaint.
And by "minor complaint," I mean "not really a complaint at all." It's a cool ad and here's guessing you're going to see it just a few times during All-Star festivities. And wouldn't it be wild if this commercial is a foreshadowing of Griffey showing up at Tuesday's game for a surprise appearance? Now that would be guaranteed to bring goosebumps.
