Here's some good video of Creighton's Pat Venditte, the Yankees' draft pick who throws with both arms using a specially-designed glove. I still can't decide whether or not it's a good thing he won't be managed by Dusty Baker.

(On one hand, he'd actually be able to handle the work over 200 pitches a game; On the other, I'm not sure we need to see the first pitcher in history to have Tommy John surgery on both arms.) [6-4-2]

Also, here's an article about Venditte and what the Yankees have in store for him. [Newsday]

Humm, a switch pitcher instead of a switch hitter. Interesting.

Switch hitters need to keep the same hand so long as the pitcher is ready to pitch.
Is the equivalent true for switch pitchers?

I have a question, can he pitch at a pro level lefty. If he can pitch at a pro level (not necessarily Major leauge, like AA or AAA, mabey) he can fool hitters, it'll be interesting

He sure doesn't look comfortable throwing left handed. I wonder if he can really pitch left handed at the major league level or if its just something he plays around with.
