Big League Stew - MLB

How much does Tampa pitcher Andy Sonnanstine like Ping Pong? Enough to post videos of him paddling it out against a friend on YouTube under the name "sonnysidearm." Really.

No word on if the sport will help the 5.85 ERA he posted in his rookie season.

Well, if you have multiple serves and have good control of it, you can approach serving like you are pitching. As for returns, it's a good practice to move the ball around and stuff and keep the player guessing where you would hit the ball. Also, it's a good hand-eye coordination sport. You have to quickly recognize the spin and make the appropriate return. So, I think it will help.
