Big League Stew - MLB

The Nationals introduced their new grey road jersey today as well as two alternates they'll wear next season. Though the Nats are going to have to make a few more offseason moves than just fiddling with their threads, I think the road uni is a definite upgrade and that red job with the Curly W is sharp. However, the blue one (and its accompanying hat) just doesn't do anything for me, though. What do you think? And for the Nats fans out there, would you order any of them?

UPDATE: Nats 320 has pictures from the unveiling. Elijah Dukes didn't show because of a "scheduling conflict" but plenty of good-looking models did. The blue jersey, according to the blog, will only be worn on special occasions.

I really like the road uniforms, but I'm sick of red uniforms (too many teams use it). Don't mind the patriotic uniform, but I'd love a "TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION" patch below the Nats logo on the sleeve to add a local touch.

the gray uni is really nice. i've never been a fan of the saturated, solid color jersey for any team. they look like softball jerseys.

I like them, but I think at least one of the home jerseys should have been white with red trim. Rays in 7!

That patriotic DC hat is giving me seizures. Can anyone tell me why a pro ball team needs two different types of hats?

Personally, I'd prefer seeing those girls modeling the jerseys wearing them on the field over the current "baseball players" they have there. (Ouch!)

The script red "W" is very cool. The blue "DC" is classic!

    A) Cubbies, you can't say ouch to your own burn. that's like being the only person to laugh at your own joke
    B)
    - Grey unis are a huge improvement and now look classic
    - I really like the solid red ones. i'm assuming they'll take the place of the same ones with the "DC" on the lapel
    - patriotic ones look dumb but i assume they'll only be worn on days like memorial day, 4th of july, labor day
    - why can't they change the home unis to the cursive lettering as well? They look like all star jerseys which is too ironic for its own good. (ouch, burn, ooooo: doofus)

I am not a Nats fan, but I personally like the blue one and would like to see it as like a sunday jersey or more than special ocassion.
The red one is somewhat of a throwback of the Senators.
I like the old road jersey better than this new one.

I hate when teams change jerseys every five years. It is just a money grab.
Look at the good teams, they keep the jerseys the same for a long time:
    Red Sox
    Dodgers
    Yankees
    ETC...
The only reason those teams change jerseys is when MLB changes style, like the mandated spring training/bp jerseys

Um, and why did they need new uniforms? This seems a little redundant to me - didn't they just change them a year or 2 ago? Besides the fact that the Nats have only been the "Nats" for what, 4 seasons?

I like the road gray. I'm glad they stuck with the city on the road, I don't like how a lot of teams have been dropping that recently. I don't like the blue jersey at all, especially with the hat.

One is a baseball jersey. The other two are rapper threads. Yo Yo. Trash the red and the blue. Keep the gray.

I appreciate your sentiments Saro G, but "Taxation without Representation" would be "local" only if you were in Boston. You know, the whole Boston Tea Party thing...
However, with all the extra fees attached to ticket prices these days- simply to watch many of our mediocre teams - I like the idea.
