Game of the Day: Astros 4, Cubs 0
102 years and counting ...
Big BLS H/T: The Heckler

After the game, Uggla stuck his head in the door of Rodriguez's office and gave him an autographed bat. "You're an amazing manager and an even better man!!" read the inscription above Uggla's signature.
"I love him to death," Uggla said. "I'd play for him any day of the week. We're all pulling for him."
Red Sox 8, Yankees 4: Spoilahs. Chowdah.
Nationals 2, Mets 1 (14 inn.): Oh, Jerry Manuel and Omar Minaya? Prolly won't see them no more.
Braves 8, Phillies 7: Gen. Douglas MacArthur (right) told the Philippines he would return and Bobby Cox ... kind of looks like MacArthur here.
Blue Jays 2, Twins 1: Canada: Not impressed with the AL Central champeens.
Rays 3, Royals 2 (12 inn.): Two AL East titles in three years. It's better than what your team could do (unless you're a Rays fan — then it's exactly what your team did).
When asked if he would return for a 16th season at the helm in St. Louis, the usually serious [Tony] La Russa delivered a classic deadpan response.
"I talked to the players. The young guys wanted me back, the veterans wanted someone else," he said with a straight face.
Angels 6, Rangers 2: Do you like hunch bets? Mine is the Rangers getting to the World Series.
Giants 3, Padres 0: How much of a playoff share does the Rally Thong get?
Athletics 4, Mariners 3: The M's might need to take two offseasons to fix themselves.
Dodgers 3, D-backs 1: Arrivederci, Torre! (He's Ital-i-an.)
