Big League Stew - MLB

The A-Rod press conference just ended and one of his big "reveals" was that his cousin helped him obtain and take his steroids in a self-described "amateur hour" process.

However, when pressed by a reporter to identify his relative, A-Rod elected to maintain an air of Cousin Jeffrey-type mystery around his just as "ignorant" cohort. Because of this, we've compiled a list of the suspects and posted their photos above. Given their past experience with experimentation and anger, I'm positive it's either Cousin Eddie or The Code Man.

Apologies for the snafu with the live blog process earlier and please use this post to discuss what we just heard from A-Rod. We'll have more as the day goes on.

Apparently ARoid's part of a posse in Miami that includes his cousin and half-brother called the 'Four Musketeers.' This stuff gets freakier by the day.

Surrre, A Roid, You needed a cousin to introduce you to anabolic steroids, when you are a multi millionaire that has access to anything you want, including trainers, as well as out side sources. He makes it sound like a Family Thing, almost innocent like. Lets find this "Cousin', who was probably paid to agree to this, as well as getting A Roids 2004- 2009 test results. Fooled us once, shame on you.

I think we also need to look at the other 103 players who tested positive. Why do we pick on just one person? Enough. As far as recorded, there is no proof that anything he did made him better.

If A Roid was so confident in his ability, as well as anyone else, why go the steroid route in the first place. Saying there is no proof that anything these players did made them better justifies how stupid they were in the first place. Then explain how singles hitters became home run hitters, how one record, afet another, was broke in so short a span of time. Not only did these players destroy the 'Integrity of the Game", they insulted the greats and their records that came before.

Don't miss the point here and make steroid use legal. Have the players disclaim publicly their use of steroids. As fans, admirers, and revenue givers we have the power to boo, hiss, and shut down a club's use of steroid users. If we go to the games, boo every player that admits to using. Boycott several games a year in protest of a club allowing steroid users on their team to lower their revenue. So what if a player using steroids and hits twice as many homeruns or steal twice as many bases, if no one is around to see it or enjoy it, does that create motion? When it comes to the All-Star break, not one person should vote for the steroid users on the ballot. When it comes to the Hall of Fame, let not one vote be cast for that player. When it comes to records, that person is not allowed to enter the record book. When it comes to paying out bonuses, the let clubs pay out of pocket. The Olympics erase and replace record books when steroid use is detected, why not professional sports. Money walks and BS talks. Shut down the money supply and you shut down steroids. If the boneheads want to destroy their lives because they CHOOSE to do so.....by all means let them!!!!!

If anyone can explain how a millionaire star athlete can have his "Cousin' do the injecting of the steroids, when that may be dangerous, does this phantom person have a license to do this? Another question about A Roid, He claims his steroid use was from the years 2001-2003, which were his years in Texas, now he comes to New York, where there ten times more the pressure to do well..And he Stops? Can we get some proof of this?

So A-Rod basically is in all this trouble over doing steriods half-assed, not even doing it effectively like Clemens or Bonds. Those two players had huge numbers near the end of their careers. So if A-Rod had just done some real steriods the right way, he might already be the home run king! What a waste of a positive steriods piss test.

How about taking responsibility for yourself and not involve your "cousin" and not come up with lame excuses about how steroids are over the counter back home and you figured it was "okay".
