Looks like my Halloween plans just got a lot more expensive this year ...

Yep, that's the controversial "sock" mascot that the minor league Amarillo Sox ordered earlier this year. The fact that it showed up looking a little too, uh, "enthused" disappointed the team's management, and officials quickly ordered another after the costume was mocked on several websites, including the Stew. They even issued a public apology to anyone who might have been offended.
But where there's a viral Internet hit, there's a way to make money, which is why the team now has the old costume listed on eBay with a starting price of $5,000 (and a buy-it-now price of $25,000!) The listing says that "a portion of the proceeds" will be donated to charity.
