No ma'am, Gordon Beckham will not admit to being 'The Slayer'
White Sox third baseman Gordon Beckham(notes) is hitting .329/.392/.541 for the month of July, has five 3-hit games since being called up on June 4 and has been busy making a solid case for AL Rookie of the Year consideration.
But despite sporting the best set of Southern boy bangs this side of John Parker Wilson and having a Chicago summer at his feet, the 22-year-old denies that his nickname is "The Slayer" ... even after being awkwardly probed prodded by Kendahl Damico of Mouthpiece Sports.
