He looks a little sleepy, but that's probably just luck with the camera shutter. For the most part, D-backs' rookie left-hander Clay Zavada(notes) has been on his game from the moment he was called up. In 13 1/3 innings this season, Zavada has yet to allow an earned run and his secondary statistics are almost as good. After the jump, check out another shot of his killer handlebar 'stache, plus a bonus view of Wyatt Earp's favorite umpire, Bill Hohn.

The D-backs absorbed a tough loss Sunday — and Zavada was on the hook for it — falling to the Mariners on Tony Clark's(notes) error in the bottom of the ninth. The club can take heart knowing that Zavada's mustache will be ready when the team returns home for a series against the Rangers on Tuesday.
In case you missed Zavada's incredible personal story, here's another look.

"Curly" Bobby Cox: Wyatt Earp, huh? I heard of you.
Ike "Chipper" Clanton-Jones: Listen, Mr. Kansas Law Dog. Law don't go around here. Savvy?
"Wyatt" Bill Hohn: I'm retired.
Curly: Good. That's real good.
Ike: Yeah, that's good, Mr. Law Dog, 'cause law don't go around here.
Wyatt: I heard you the first time.
