These Cubs out-of-the-playoffs videos are quickly becoming a daily feature on the Stew and I'm wrestling with whether or not to continue posting them. But because it's Friday and everyone's workin' for the weekend, let's just get 'em on, get 'em over and get 'em in.
Above is a guy who most likely became a Cubs fan some time in 2007. Apparently he can't , like, believe, like, that Lou's crew let him down again, like, dude ... oh, man, he's going to need a beer. To cope with his long-lasting grief, he does the most reasonable thing and sets his hat on fire while among a crowd of people in Dodger Stadium. (Thanks, Mouthpiece.)
Then there's the clip from last night's Saturday Night Live election special, which features Bill Murray mocking the Cubs during a debate sketch. I would've posted that here this morning, but figured you didn't want to sit through four minutes of Fred Armisen to get there. If you're up for the challenge of the SNL cast member that just won't go away, click here.
Finally, Deadspin has the Walter E. Smithe furniture brothers sewing the last seeds of E. Smithe hatred into the hearts of Chicagoans with this unaired World Series ad. Click here to see it.
