Big League Stew - MLB

Poor Matt Cain(notes). The Giants' second-best pitcher (5-1, 2.40) gets stuck with the most embarrassing advertising slogan of the year and is the subject of constant trade rumors.

Meanwhile, Tim Lincecum(notes) is the franchise cornerstone and gets to play a live-armed Eliot Ness in an exponentially-better commercial campaign that gives just a slight nod to Bob DeNiro's Al Capone baseball bat scene from The Untouchables.

(And not that Timmy doesn't deserve it  ...  I'm just saying that the last time we saw so much talent being overshadowed in San Francisco, Joe Montana and Steve Young were 49ers.)
